x Omega Mission To The Moon 1969

The Swatch x OMEGA Bioceramic MoonSwatch “Mission To The Moon 1969” is a limited-edition quartz chronograph paying tribute to Apollo 11’s lunar landing on 21 July 1969 and the gold Speedmasters of the era. Its matte black Bioceramic case contrasts with a vertically brushed 18K OMEGA Moonshine™ Gold dial. The 11 grams of gold used for the dial were melted down from original OMEGA spare parts from the 1960s and 1970s, with the number itself referencing Apollo 11. It features a 42mm case, 13.25mm profile, 47.30mm lug-to-lug measurement and 3 Bar water resistance. The hands, crown and chronograph pushers are also crafted from the same gold, confirmed by the Au750 and OM markings on the dial. Recessed black sub-dials bring balance and clarity, while the black Bioceramic bezel carries a gold-tone tachymeter scale. The VELCRO® strap has a gold-tone inner surface inspired by the texture of the Moon. The watch was not sold in stores. More than 1.2 million applications were submitted to Swatch’s ESTA digital draw for 1,969 pieces. The Swatch MoonSwatch SSX01B700 is available at sutore in authenticated condition.
