Product Description
Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 NM Birch/Classic Red reinterprets the brand’s iconic sports silhouette through Nippon Made craftsmanship. Its lines first appeared in 1966 and became iconic on Japan’s national team at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. Cream Japanese goatskin contrasts with Classic Red foil stripes. Each pair is handled and individually washed by artisans in Tottori, giving every shoe a subtly distinct, gently worn character. The unlined, soft goatskin gradually adapts to the shape of the foot. A slim rubber sole retains the retro stance of the 1960s, while the cushioned insole makes it more comfortable for daily wear. The model is considered true to size, though those with wider feet may find a half size up more balanced due to its narrow toe box. Nippon Made models are produced in small batches and are typically sold only through Onitsuka Tiger flagship stores. A difficult series to find in Turkey, each pair is authenticated by sutore before becoming available. It brings a considered finish to an otherwise simple outfit.
