Longchamp’s Le Pliage Original Top Handle Bag S is the compact version of the house’s iconic foldable bag, presented in Pebble, also known as Galet. Its inspiration comes from origami. Philippe Cassegrain’s idea was simple: a lightweight, durable everyday companion that folds down to almost pocket-book size when needed. Measuring 23 x 22 x 14 cm and weighing 178 g, it has a 9 cm handle drop for carrying by hand or on the arm, rather than on the shoulder. The body is made with at least 70% recycled polyamide canvas, while the lining gives it a structure suited to regular use. Brown Russian leather handles and flap bring definition to the design. A zipped main compartment, snap-fastened leather flap and two flat internal pockets keep essentials together. When not in use, it folds down completely to a pocket-book size.
