The Polaroid x Pokémon Now Generation 3 Instant Camera Pokémon Edition is a limited-edition analog instant camera created for Pokémon’s 30th anniversary. Its body draws on Poké Ball’s red, white and black colour blocking, finished with a miniature Poké Ball shutter button on the front. It measures 150.2 x 112.2 x 94 mm and weighs approximately 448 g. The body is made with 40% recycled plastic. Now Gen 3’s dual-lens autofocus operates across two ranges: 0.4 to 1.3 metres for close-ups, and from 1 metre to infinity in standard mode. An improved light meter and distance sensor help prevent overexposure on bright days, while retaining Polaroid film’s gently imperfect colour transitions. Double exposure and self-timer modes leave room for more considered frames. It works with Polaroid i-Type and 600 Film, and its USB-C rechargeable battery lasts for around 15 packs of film per charge. Presented with a special Pokémon box and Poké Ball strap, the model also features Pokémon silhouettes on the darkslide cards released from its dedicated i-Type films.
