Goyard Saïgon Tote Bag Burgundy

Goyard’s Saïgon Tote Bag reworks an archival silhouette into an everyday burgundy tote. The Saïgon line traces back to a special order made in the 1930s for a French client living in Indochina. Introduced in 2023, this softer version retains the hand-carved beechwood batons that nod to the house’s trunk-making heritage, while making the shape more relaxed and easier to use day to day. Goyardine canvas, known for its durability, is paired with Chevroches calfskin in a 34 x 25 x 16 cm body. A linen-and-cotton lining keeps the feel light, and despite its generous capacity the bag weighs just 730 g. The defining detail of the Saïgon Tote is its convertible structure, with side gussets and a front flap that can fold in or out to shift the silhouette from more closed to more open. Inside, there is one main compartment and a suspended flat pocket. Palladium hardware and leather-reinforced corners strengthen the structure. Metal rivets and contrast stitching bring the workmanship into focus. The rounded double leather handles are designed for hand carry or the crook of the arm, with no shoulder strap on this Tote version. With its limited store network, Goyard remains difficult to access in Turkey, and each piece at sutore is offered only after an authenticity check. Made in France, this Saïgon Tote adds the house’s measured travel character to everyday carrying.
